Project managers are leaders of change. They often have far less power in the organization than the responsibilities they are assigned would imply. Knowing how much freedom and license to take action we have is essential. That requires knowing the signs and structures that provide us with the freedom to act.
Learning is important. We want to get better, and we try to avail ourselves of webinars, presentations and workshops to do so. Getting value out of those opportunities means rethinking how we learn about learning.
We know the importance of saying “no.” We just don’t do it very well, very emphatically or very often. Know when to say no, and how to say it without negative consequence.
